Spiritual Respiration

I don’t have muchcontrol

but I do have my faith

I deal with the chaos

by relying on faith’swords

of wisdom

I may not avoidmortality

but I can slow down mylife,

with one, long, eternalbreath

In the morning, I wakeup

to a spiritualrespiration,

feeling its airy naturebreathe through me,

allowing the stickinessto release,

the resistance to let go

When my feelings are sadand heavy,

I look to my spiritualpartner

to break my emotionaltumble

Together, we can prayour way

out of almost anystruggle

without solving a singleproblem.

Sand and Moon

She believes in the sand

and I the moon

I push the shopping cart

in the supermarket

while she loads the items

I am full of dreams

while she is full

of wonderful memories

All I need

are a few essentials,

while she needs a whole

house full of reminders

I am the hardness

to her softness,

the loud to her low

In our home,

the sand bonds

with the moon

and the night

embraces the day.
